Google News has been my home page for years.  If I can't get the old format back I will start looking for another news source. I gave this feedback before when I found I had been part of your "testing".  Doubt I am the only one who wants the old format. I just find the new format hard to read. 
Please note, this question/answer is from many years ago and does not apply to the 2017 Google News update.  At the time I am writing this, there is not a setting in place to revert back to the previous Google News layout.3D Rendering Services Google News is receiving a lot of feedback and bug reports related to the new version. All the posts here are being read, even if not directly responded to. The feedback is being consolidated and provided to the Google News team.  They are working on fixing bugs as fast as possible, and the layout will continue to evolve.
