Many of the "1000" vacant jobs, particularly in the e-gaming sector, would appear to require quals, skills and knowledge that must be in short supply or non-existant on-Island anyway. There was never previously a problem in obtaining a work permit if it was "proven" (lip service) that the only suitable candidates required same. Why all the sudden concern and fanfare over the scheme?
